Stanza Dei Sigari

292 Hanover Street
Boston, MA 02113 United States

Located in a 100 year old building in the basement with no windows or ventilation. The ceilings are 7 feet high and the room is very narrow. This place used to be a 1920's speak easy. It has a great atmosphere. Everyone is either smoking a cigar or one of the many hookahs that are available for $25 a hour. It is a must visit when in Boston.
chiavetta is smoking a House Cigar at Stanza dei Sigari

Having the House Maduro which is decent. Selection is ok but really overpriced. I used to really like this place but since they are the only place you can smoke in Boston it draws the young, loud drinking patrons. And they play all the teeny bopper music. Wishing for the days when it was quiet an

Thoughts after smoking it:
I have a rule that when I come to Boston I have to make it to Stanza Dei Sigari - it always delivers a great time. Loved the Padron No. 2. Fantastic cigar.

And then there's Stephanie, the bartender at the back right bar. Terrific attitude and knows how to pour! The house blend box-press Maduro is a little on the light side for me, but the ambiance and experience are quickly making up for it. Great liquor selection as well. Definitely a WIN! in my book.

A $5.00 cutting fee? What the fuck? So if I just sit here and drink, there's no charge besides the cost of the drinks? Well this explains why a Casa Magna Robusto costs $12.00 here, when it should be around $5.00

My number 1 place to smoke when in "Bean town" Come to think about it, it's my favorite place to smoke in the North east.....Open late and a fantastic cigar selection in their wall of humidors.

Found some time to hit this place last night. Fantastic atmosphere - has a somewhat "gritty" feel. Maybe it's the fact that it's in a basement. There are two full bars, plenty of places to sit, and a few TVs. I'll second what Keith C. said - this place has a real cigar lounge feel. Didn't have a chance to try the house cigars, but definitely will next time. The rest of the cigar menu is priced on the high-side, and there is a $5 cutting fee if you bring your own. Overall I was very impressed. I went on a Tuesday night and the place was packed from the time we arrived around 8pm until we left after 10pm.

Have visited Stanza dei Sigari several times on trips to Boston. It's definitely a favorite spot where you can hang out for several hours and relax. Dark lighting, excellent selection of spirits and a real "cigar lounge" feel. Numerous options for seating and also a flat screen, which is available but not disruptive. Selection of cigars are a little on the high price side but worth it to take advantage of the atmosphere. Try to house Churchill, an even smoke.
