I haven't been there personally, but people say it's a great place to grab a cigar. Rumor also has it that they don't have a liquor license.

This place has a great lounge, but no cigar selection! If your going to come here make sure you come with your own collection of cigars. I've only been to the venue a couple times and the place still cant get it togther. I guess Florida cigar bars are much more up to par than in Michigan??

Interesting space with tons of potential. Sadly, much of that potential is unrealized. Cigar and liquor selections are lacking. Service is middling on a good night. Like SteveD I recommend La Casa nearby…superior in almost every way.

Unfortunately 1701 has declined in quality of cigars as well entertainment instead of a cigar lounge it seems to have transformed into a hang out for black old school frats who want to congregate so the best time to pay a visit is during the morning or afternoon hours when the owner is there during this time you don’t have all the chaos going on which occurs during the evening change over in management. If you’re looking for a nice cigar location try La Casa which is not far from 1701 it has a nice atmosphere and quality cigars with a very nice VIP lounge upstairs.. Steve
